I am at lost with my network setup on XP

2 XP machines connected via Linksys router.
PC1 can ping PC2 but PC2 can not ping PC1. Both have the
same configuration. PC1 uses standard XP firewall but PC2
has no firewall.

I don't understand why 1 PC can see the other and not
vice-versa. I've looked and checked everywhere but to no
success couldn't get it to work. Does anyone know why XP
is doing this?

You answered your own question above. Turn off the firewall on PC1.
