On my new computer there is a conflict between Office XP Professional and
MSN. Every time when I start Outlook I get the next message of MSN Messenger
6.1(here translated from Dutch): "Syntaxerror in commandline option. Typ
Command /? for Help". Where do type this? The same message comes when I
start Outlook Express, which was installed with the the installation of
Windows XP.

Both Office XP Professional and MSN has been removed and reinstalled, but
the error stays. After I clicked on OK under the message, it disappears but
Outlook takes over a minute to start on.

Has anyone a solution for this problem? I have asked this question on a
dutch site but they send me to this group. Please help!

Thanks on advance
Greetings from a now windy and rainy Holland

I don't know what is causing the problem, but the command Command /?
produces the following:

Starts a new instance of the MS-DOS command interpreter.

COMMAND [[drive:]path] [device] [/E:nnnnn] [/P] [/C string] [/MSG]

[drive:]path Specifies the directory containing COMMAND.COM file.
device Specifies the device to use for command input and output.
/E:nnnnn Sets the initial environment size to nnnnn bytes.
/P Makes the new command interpreter permanent (can't exit).
/C string Carries out the command specified by string, and then
stops.
/MSG Specifies that all error messages be stored in
memory. You
need to specify /P with this switch.

I don't see how that has anything to do with MSN or Office, but lots of
things don't make any sense on Windows. I hope I was of some help.
