I have already put my website up on the internet (minibroach.com). Now, i
have already checked and rechecked my website on the remote server the day i
created it (obviously) and again a couple times after that (the next day or
so). Now here i am (months later) and i cannot return to the remote website
view on frontpage 2003. I looked at the four trouble shooting tips in the
book and none of them seem to imply:
-The webserver has itsFP server extensions installed, i asked and reasked my
hosting company
-The webserver is not temporarily out of service because not only have i
been trying for days to get this to rework, but once again, my hosting
company told me it was fine.
-The proxy settings are/should be correct, but when i check my lan
connections, it was set to sense anything automatically
-And once again, the web server does not have any errors because i asked the
hosting company.

....i don't know what to do anymore. Everytime I go to put in my username
and password, (and they are correct. Once again, asked hosting company and
not only did they tell me the information i was putting in was correct, but
they reset my username and password) the username/password box will not let
me even put in the information (reacting to it as if it were wrong). it is
not until i cancel out of that box that the trouble-shooting tip box comes up.

i just need to update my site because i put the "keywords" meta tab in the
wrong place, because the google and yahoo web bug doesn't see them. I moved
the heading around a bit but i need to put it up and test it out.

-thank you in advance for whose ever time i am taking up.

Try opening the site in Internet Explorer, and then in IE click File > Edit
with FrontPage.

ok...i can view individual pages in IE no problem, but when i go to actually
view the whole site (by going to my network places and then clicking on the
icon to the minibroach website), it asks me for user name and password again.
It is all correct and yet it does not give me access, it just brings me
right back to the same promt box for my user name and password. Now, when i
look at the individual pages in their respective folders, i noticed that all
the pages had a mozilla firefox icon to represent them. So, i reset the
default browser to IE, but for some reason it would not stick. I did it
through the frontpage program, and through each page's "properties" box right
there in their folder. now i have this thing on a server with frontpage
services (when told to choose from "Remote Web server Type") and put in
"http://minibroach.com/" in the url address box. I am tring to give u as
much info as possible so you can somehow get a better feel for the situation,
but it doesn't seem like there is much. I don't believe i am imputing any
wrong information and have checked it over SEVERAL times. Now, when i first
put the site up, i do believe it was with using IE. That is what i used to
check the site's appearence and everything. Then i think, shortly after I
had either started doing the site, or after i put it up, mozilla got put on
the computer as well. That might have screwed things up, but i have tried
numerous ways to fix the orientation of the web pages back to IE, but i am
not sure if it even worked. It doesn't seem so. idk...ug.

Yea, i restarted the computer and everything, and the defalt browser is set
at IE, yet the mozilla firefox icon still shows up as each file's
representation icon. idk. I opened it up in IE like u said and then went to
edit in Frontpage, but what from there? I can see all my pages, but when i
go to log onto the remote site again, it still won't work. It keeps denying
my username and password. I could try to ask them to check the server-health
for my account and the permissions for my account again. do u think that
could also be affecting it? I know i had them check the permissions again,
but i am not sure if they checked server-health. They did say the server had
no problems, though.
