I added the News command to “Go†to look at my Newsgroups but after I close
down Outlook 2003 & go back in the “News†command is gone & is unavailable to
add again! Anger & frustration follows!

Anger and frustration are not necessary.
There are several thousand posts in these groups that answer your question.
It is asked and answered many times daily.
If you want an answer, read.
Otherwise wait until someone reposts it.
To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Thank you for your reply.
I navigated to the correct folder by: Control Panel/Internet
Options/Programs. Then choosing the default Newsreader as Outlook Express.

Politeness is the virtue of Kings.

Regards.
Macker.

Very helpful. Thank you. I have the folder set up in the news reader as
news.gbronline.com, but when I try to see the list of newsgroups, I get the
message "Outlook Express was unable to retrieve a list of newsgroups
available on the server "news.gbronline.com". How can I get the list to
show?

Ask in an Outlook Express group how to use the news reader.
Inquire from your ISP the correct logon requirements for their news server.
