I erased some hotfix files from my husbands computer and
need desperatly to find a way to get them back-I have
looked everywhere in his computer to access them. Is
there a download that will replace them without messing
up his computer too much? Some of the files are there,
but they all say 11.40MB for each one, that doesn't seem
right. And the other ones are like, Q328310, KB821557-
they have a vital sign next to them in the add/delete
menu. I don't want to mess up his computer any more than
I already have. He wanted to play his media player last
night and it shows that it is playing, but no sound. I
think that has to do with the hotfix messup. Somebody
Help ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

Try system Restore to a date/time before it started:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.

Try Windows Update to see if they are redetected
Start/All Programs/Windows Update

If you know what they are, install them manually, #1 on this link:

not likely, those were just backups/uninstalls of the hotfixs, it's ok to
delete them. no worries.

If you removed them using the Add/Remove Programs window, revisit Windows
Update to reacquire the uninstalled updates.
