i accidentially engaged a keystroke single hit delay feature. how

did not catch short cut to turn off feature an can not find using search. i
have to hold each keystroke for 2 seconds and repeating action is gone. using
office 2007 trial edition. this option offered itself in pop up box. please
send help instructions.
shift key is not working either.

That's not a Word feature, it's one of the Windows accessibility
options (the one called Filter Keys).

If you have Windows XP, go to Start menu > Control Panel >
Accessibility Options and turn off Filter Keys. Also click the
Settings button and disable the shortcut.

If you have Vista, go to Start menu > Control Panel > Ease of Access
Center > "Make it easier to focus on tasks" to get to a similar
dialog.
