Hyphen problem in IE.

Internet Explorer treats the hyphen as line break,for example ,if we
give the value as 2007-07-30 in the
html page.Then it will show it as

2007-
07-
30

Is there any solution for this problem.

Purists may shout at you for not using CSS, but it works in every
browser on planet earth.
