I would like to transfer files from a Win98 machine to an XP Pro
machine. The reason for this is that the Win98 machine is rather
screwed up.The Win98 machine is suffering from I don't know what.
Norton reports that TCP/IP is not loaded, even though it is on the
list in the control panel. I removed and re-loaded it, to no avail.
Anytime you start a browser such as IE, and try to call a web site,
you get an "illegal operation" message. I think it needs the "disk of
death" treatment. Unless anyone can suggest something else. Anyway.
Can I transfer files with Hyperterminal, in spite of these problems?
Or am I stuck with the sneaker system?
Thank You,
