Hello, I have created a PPT with links to various PDF
documents in it, I have saved it as an HTML file and
burnt it to a CD that I want to Autorun. The problem is
the links to the PDF's get embedded in the HTML code to
point at the location on my server where I kept the files
for editing. I want the links to point to the same
folder on th CD that the browser is in. I've tried
saving the file with and without setting up a Hyperlink
base address but the same thing happens every time!
Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I'm using Office XP

First of all, you might want to place all the PDFs in the same folder as the
presentation before you link it to the presentation.

If you don't mind foregoing the HTML for the autorun CD, you might want to
use this automated solution:

You might also explore the possibility of editing the PowerPoint HTML output
and recreate the PDF links.

Thanks for the advice, I have the files in the same
folder and had already thought about editing the HTML
files, didn't fancy that so I'm trying your other
suggested solution.

Thanks
Mark

[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PowerPoint

Hello,

If none of the suggestions provided give you the functionality that you
were looking for or, if you (or anyone else reading this message) have
suggestions for how and why you think PowerPoint should provide this
functionality (or make it easier), don't forget to send your feedback (in
YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
