When i try to click on a hyperlink that i receive in emails, i get a pop-up
box that asks me to "locate link browser". the link goes out to the
internet, but the box still comes up. thats the first issue.

secondly, a lot of times when it goes out to the internet, it displays a
blank page. i have to go back to the link, and click it a second time for
the page to come up.

Can someone shed some light as to what is going on, and how i can rectify
the problem?

does this work even if firefox is not my browser. i use IE

yes, it does. you can also try going to IE's tools, options, programs and
resetting the web settings.
