Hyperlinks to Excel Sheets

Hi, I am using powepoint 2003 in my office. When I hyperlink excel sheets to
text in my powepoint presentations all sheets open in background and it
doesn't open on the screen. everytime I need to switch between excel and
powerpoint. How Can I solve this?
 
Though this may be possible on PowerPoint, I'll explain a method that works
on all Windows XP and above copmuters (I'm not sure if it works on others.).
Open up all the Excel sheets you need. Then open and start the PowerPoint.
When you get to a place where you need to use one of the open Excel sheets,
click Alt+Tab (Alt and Tab at the same time.).

Switch between programs by continuing to hold Alt but click Tab until you
reach the program you want. Let go of the keys when you get there. It should
work finely.
