Hyperlinks not automatically being created

Hi

I am using Outlook 2007 and when I type a web address - beginning with
http:// and hit space at the end, hyperlinks are no longer automatically
created. I have to go to the insert-hyperlink on the menu and do it that way
instead.

I know I must be overlooking something but I have read through quite a few
threads on here to try and find a solution but I am obviously not searching
with the correct words.

Could anyone assist please?

Many thanks.

Try pressing Enter after the hyperlink.

Hi Diane

Thank you for taking the time to respond, yes, the autoformatting of
hyperlinks had been unticked. I figured it out about 5 minutes after I
posted (after spending the couple of hours prior to that trying to work it
out!) but my post did not appear for hours so I could not update it to say so!

Thanks again.

Leigh

Did you disable autoformatting? Tools, options, spelling, spelling &
autocorrect - autocorrect options button on the right - autoformat as you
type tab.

Thanks for the response Gordon, yes I had tried that, is sorted now, the
option had been disabled somehow and is now back up and running.
