Hyperlinks in HTML exports are funky

I am noticing a peculiar effect when hyperlinks in slides are more than one
line long and the ppt presentation is imported into Producer. It seems that
two (or more) hyperlinks are created. The hyperlinks are correct but cause
peculiar visual effects when the mouse is over the link and the link is
followed ( only part of the link changes colour).

This seems to do the same thing for any PPT export to HTML so I think this
is a PowerPoint issue, not Producer.

Is this a known problem ? Is there anything I can do about this?

I know what the effect you mean, though I don't use Producer. As far as I
know, the only way around it would be to draw a rectangle or other shape
covering the area you'd like to make "live" and assigning the hyperlink to that
rather than to the text itself. You might be able to give the shape no fill/no
outline or you might have to fill it but set the fill to 99% transparent.

The live box over the link is probably overkill -- that would mean I would
have to go back and change all the links to get the same effect (I am
guessing that would mean no hover/follow colour change for the link?) and
though annoying it is not really a massive problem the way it is so I guess
I will live with the annoyance.

Afraid so (to both massive changes and lose the link color on text).

That seems the most sensible ... as long as the links do work, what the heck.
