Hyperlinks in DAPs

I am trying to link to DAPs together, one shows a
filtered view of a table and the other has a text box
that asks for the filter criteria and an image that has a
hyperlink to the other DAP. I've already nade it work by
defining a constant value for the server filter in the
hyperlink (product="candy") but I have not been able to
do it using the value that is input in the text box. Can
that be done or am I asking for something imposible?

Well, the articles say it can be done, but I am having the
