In Access 2000, the "edit hyperlinks" window doesn't allow the user to
designate "Use Relative Path for Hyperlink". In 97, I could designate "Use
Relative Path for Hyperlink" in the edit window.

Please let me know if you've got any suggestions.

TIA

Hi.

In Access 97, the "Use Relative Path for Hyperlink" feature is to allow the
database application developer to designate a relative path in the "Insert
Hyperlink" dialog window's "Link to file or URL:" combo box -- but only if a
"base" directory has also been designated in the Database Properties dialog
window. Microsoft, for whatever reason, decided to remove this button -- but
not this ability -- in Access 2K.

For Access 2K, you still need to designate the base directory in the
Database Properties dialog window. Then, type the relative path of the
directory and file that you want to hyperlink to in the "Type the file or Web
page name:" text box of the "Insert Hyperlink" dialog window, and it will
work as it did in Access 97.

HTH.
