Hyperlinks from Word...one won't work

Strange behavior. I am using ie6 with all the patches running under
XPHome with all the patches. From Word 2000, a site url won't work
from Word...all others will. The failure page "The page cannot be
displayed" comes up. The site it active and running. BUT, if I hit
refresh, the right URL page comes up. This seems to be unique to this
site. The link is through a redirect service...maybe that's part of
the problem. BUT, why does that link work when input directly into
IE6's address bar?

Correction to the informatin below...this url is NOT redirected. It is
directly to the hosting service. I forgot that I changed hosting
services on this site.
