For the past month or so, all hyperlinks coming from either an email or aim
don't work. In IE7, I receive a General Failure message, and in aim noting
whatever occurs. In either case, if I either (in the case of using Outlook)
use the copy hyperlilnk function, or (with aim) copy the hyperlink as text,
when I paste the copied link into IE7, it works correctly. I assume tha tthe
general failure is a clue, but have no idea as to what it points to.

Hi,
Operating system?
Make sure that IE7 is the default browser.
Vista: Control panel> Default programs.
XP: Control panel> Add or remove programs> Set program access and defaults.

Also, possibly a problem with a browser add-on.
See: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp
for troubleshooting information.

You might try the Reset button in Internet Options> Advanced. Note that this
will delete stored (autocomplete) passwords. Do you have those recorded
elsewhere?

Hope this helps,
