Mauricio

I just don't get it !

In design view of the table, I set the data type of the
field to Hyperlink.
In design view of the form (a text box) the Fromat is set
to Is Hyperlink = Yes

It does look like a link (It even has the little hand) but
it does not want to work
and the same happens with the e-mai!

I've read lots of post and still dont get it
Do I have to configure the event?
Can some one provide the code for the macro ?

Mauricio,

Can you please expand on your meaning of "it does not want to work"?
And maybe some example of what you are using the hyperlink fields for,
and the type of data you are entering in there. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply!
"it does not want to work"?
When I click in the link in the form (that looks like a link, meaning it is
underline in blue) it does not open the browser
If I right-hand click on the link, the options Hyperlink Open or Open New
Window des not work neither
what you are using the hyperlink fields for
I have a list of companies with their URL , I also have a link to the search
in goggle for this companies, another one linking to our database and then
their email address -none of the four hyperlinks are working
They are all stored in a table and in the table they are all as DataType
Hyperlink (no particular format)
The stored data is the full url including http domain and the rest of the
url all in a single filed
In the from the texBox are Format Is Hyperlink = Yes with nothing in the
events - (I have tryed several times to enter the events and changing to
buttons etc.. but I don't know enough)

Aboard,

I am very sorry, I am unable to help. It sounds like you have set it
up correctly, and I can't imagine what might be causing the problem.
In my experience, these http hyperlinks should work as expected. With
the email addresses, you will need to enter the data with the mailto:
protocol identifier, e.g. mailto:[email protected] if you want clicking
on it to open a new email addressed as such in your email client. And
of course there are some properties that would interfere, such as if
the Enabled property of the textbox was set to No. But apart from
that, I'm out of ideas. Just another question... does the browser
open if you click the hyperlink directly in the table?

I have the same problem, when I have imported hyperlinks
from a speadsheet, they looks alright but nothing
happends when pointing them. But if I manually overwrite
the hyperlink adress again in my accessform, then it
works, even without http. But I am very interested how to
solve this problem.
