Hyperlinks disabled in Outlook

Not sure how it happened, but hyperlinks no longer work in email that I
receive. I receive the following error message:

"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your system administrator."

I don't have any idea what restrictions may be in effect. I have searched
through all the outlook options screens and can't find any option that turns
on or off hyperlinks, except for one associated with hyperlinks in phishing
messages which had no effect when I changed it.

I haven't made any other security changes on the computer that I am aware
of. Also, this is a home computer and I am the administrator...and I am no
help...Ha!

It's not an Outlook option. Somehow your default browser lost its
registration in Windows. Reset it as the default browser via Start-> Default
Programs

That was outa nowhere and was driving me bats.

This is a problem with IE, its not an Outlook error. You need to reset your
internet settings in IE's Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab. (Or Control
panel, Internet options, Advanced tab).
See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/link_restrict.htm for the latest
information.
