Hyperlinks and Animated Slides

I hope someone can help with the following:

I have a slide with four animated objects. The slide also
contains a hyperlink to a table of contents slide. The
problem is that after bringing the first animated object
onto the slide and then clicking back to the table of
contents slide and then returning to the animated page, it
returns at the same place in the animation as I left it-
in this case, the first animated object is still on the
slide.

Still with me?

What I would prefer is that the animation begins from
scratch (the slide is blank) when I return to it rather
than from whichever state I left it.

Suggestions?

You will need to trick PowerPoint into thinking it is 'advancing into' the
slide and has to start the slide over. The most common way to do this, is
to insert a blank slide before the one you want to re-animate (Frankenstein?
it's alive!). Then make the transition automatic after zero seconds. Then,
when you link back to the blank slide it will 'advance into' your slide and
restart your animations.

However, you are talking about a TOC slide that (I assume) you have
references to from many places in your presentation. You will need to
insert these blank slides before each reference to your TOC and make each of
the entries in the TOC into a link back to 1 slide before each of the
sections it references.

Make sense?
