I've placed several hyperlinks within my powerpoint and when they are
accessed, the size of the image is too large. Is there a way to adjust the
size of the file attached to the hyperlink?
 
What Jean said. Alternately, create a new slide and insert the image into
PowerPoint, resize to your preference, then hyperlink to that slide.
