Actually, I just posted an answer. If you'll notice, in your previous post
you did not start a new thread - rather posted in reply to an existing one -
so it wasn't obvious that you had a new question.

Regardless, you need to have a bit more patience with newsgroups. Wait at
least a day or two before reposting and then, put the phrase "Reposting" or
"Second Attempt" in the subject and then repost the full question.

Also, take a look at this article for guidelines on how to use the
newsgroups:

You posted a response at 2:15 AM lol most people are
asleep!
Anyway thanks for your post but that article doesn't apply
to office 10.0 or 2002, alias xp.
I tried all the reg edits with no luck.
I still get the pop-up! anyway thanks for your response,
I think I'm getting closer...maybe use softice to find the
break where the pop-up is then kill it! lol

for the course!
Thanks anyway!

Not to beat a dead horse but, my postings were almost 5
hours apart! patience? I think so!

Scott,
Everyone who posts here does so as a volunteer. Thus, you can often expect
that you will not get an answer for a day or two. Expecting anything sooner
than that is not realistic in a volunteer group such as this.

LOL!

Then you get a double your money back for having to wait so long ;-)

Read the nettiquette article!

Ok - well all grins aside, it would appear that is no way to turn off this
particular message in earlier versions of office - check this KB article:

OFF: "Open Programs" Message Appears When You Click Hyperlink to Program

However, you can call the ShellExecute API, using code like that posted
on the Access Web at http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0018.htm , and
the message won't appear. If it's necessary to have the mouse pointer
take on the "hand" shape, one can set the buttons' hyperlink addresses
to empty strings, and still use code in their Click events to call the
API function.
