Hyperlink to file defined by user

I would like to add a hyperlink to a form to point the
use to the User's Manual (word document). However,
because this database will be sent to multiple users
throughout the community, I can't anticipate where the
user (i.e., what folder/path) will save the User's
Manual.

My idea is that, when the user clicks on the hyperlink
for the first time, he is prompted to enter (or, better,
browse to find) the path where he saved the User's
Manual. It would also be nice to give the user some way
to change the path in the future if he decides to move
the User's Manual to a different location down the road.

Any ideas about how to do this?

Thanks.

I did this with a word document but I kept the document
on the File Server.

That's the problem. Various users throughout the state
will be using this database. There is no central file
server or network for them. Hence the need to prompt them
to enter the path where they saved the .doc file, which I
will be emailing to them along with the database.

Other ideas?
