Hyperlink to email address with information

I am doing a website for a school and have a hyperlink to an email address.
What I need for this email to have is the sender's child's name & child's
grade. I have tried to use parameters in the hyperlink but this does not
help. Can anyone suggest anything?
 
You can't have a parameter unless the user fills out a form of sort to pass the values to the parameters
- in which cases just do a simple form instead of an email link
