Hello. I am having a problem using a hyperlink that then
takes me to a custom show in my presentation. I have
done this before in other presentations without problem,
but in this one presentation, it just doesn't seem to
work. I have entered text (the word "Answers", in this
case), selected it, then inserted a hyperlink that should
take me to the custom show that I have set up in my
presentation. But it isn't working - instead, when I
click on the hyperlink, it gives me a message that "the
custom show "Answers" does not exist." But "Answers" is
only the words to appear for the hyperlink - it is not
the name of the custom show. I keep going back and
reselecting the correct custom show, but it seems like
somehow it isn't remembering this information. Hope this
makes sense - any ideas? Thanks.

MTC.

If it was me...I'd go back to basics.

STEP 1
Create a new presentation.....with a few dummy slides.

Create a custom show

Create a text link to that custom show....does it work?

If the answer is yes, then all is well with powerpoint. Proceed to step 2

If the answer is no...then something is not working with powerpoint

STEP 2
Try deleting the custom show and re-creating it...give it a different name. Like "Answers2"

Maybe powerpoint does not like the word Answers.

Did you know powerpoint can have a hyperlink from both the "text" and the text box (autoshape)

Try assigning the hyperlink to the autoshape and not the text.

Try using an "action setting" and not a hyperlink
