Hyperlink not working properly in PPT 2007

I am trying to get 2003 PPT presentations to work in PP 2007 (but still using
XP). I created a menu of presentations to be given in a day using normal text
entry.

I then created hyperlink buttons (did nice design for this) and put them
beside each presentation title. The hyperlink was activated for mouse click
and another PPT presention was selected. I chose the second slide to be the
first one shown when hyperlinked file came up. The hyperlinked file contains
some animation.

Unfortunately the first slide to appear was number 5 instead of number 2.
Both slides have same text but different color in text.

I first tried doing this and saving as .ppt, with hyperlink going to a .ppt
file. I then tried sving all files as .pptx and that made no difference.

Is this a bug or am I missing something? I would gladly provide files. The
files are both small.

I resolved the problem. A number of slides had been made hidden. I guess I
should have checked that. I have no idea of how they became hidden as I know
that I didn't select and hide them. I must assume it is pilot error but don't
know how.
