HyperLink is not created automatically

When I type something like "www.sss.com" or "(e-mail address removed)" in my email
message with HTML format it does not become a HyperLink for me. I have to
change it manually. How can I configure my Outlook to automatically create a
HyperLink when typing a URL or an Email address.

I have this same problem on one of my machines. H ave looked back and forth
through the options and cannot see one that would toggle this behaviour. Can
anyone advise on where teh option would be or what it might be called?
