Hyperlink from a picture

When creating a hyperlink from a picture in MS Word - the html doesn't
report the picture file? It seems to invent one of it's own (image001.jpg)
instead of pointing to the original picture

Anything i can do about this?
 
Pictures inserted into Word documents do not retain a reference to the
original file.
If you want to retain the connection you must insert the picture as a link.
