I'm using Outlook 2007 and have a problem when I click on a link in an
email.

I get a message which says 'General Failure, the URL was .........http etc'.

I still get the link in my browser no problem (Mozilla Firefox). Don't have
this problem when I use Outlook Express but I still prefer Outlook for some
things. Any ideas anyone please.

What browser is set as your default browser? What is the "open" definition
for the "URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol" file type?

Mozilla Firefox is the default browser, where do I find the open
definition settings?

WIndows XP or Vista? For the former, open Windows Explorer and click
Tools>Folder Options. Choose the File Types tab. Locate and select the URL
definition, click Advanced, select "open", click Edit. What do you see in
the "Application used..." field?

It was showing IE as the open with application, so changed it to mozilla
firefox but still getting the error report. Windows XP os.
