Hyperlink dialog box

When inserting a hyperlink to a document on a network drive the hyperlink
dialog box is slow to respond. It's taking from 45-60 seconds to load the
dialog box and insert the hyperlink. Suggestions?

When inserting a hyperlink to a document on a network drive the hyperlink
dialog box is slow to respond. It's taking from 45-60 seconds to load the
dialog box and insert the hyperlink. Suggestions?

If you have a mapped drive pointing to a location that isn't
accessible, that can slow Word as it waits for the attempted
connection to time out. If there are any such drives, unmap them.
