Hello,

I have a 40 page document. The first Page is like so:
Division A - 1
Division B - 2
Division C - 3
(continues up to 40)

I want to be able to click on "Division C", and then be taken
automatically to page 3, which is "Division C". I've made "Division C"
on page 3 a bookmark, then highlighted and made "Division C" on the
first page a hyperlink to this bookmark, but it doesn't work. I read
the help system step-by-step and did it exactly as indicated and yet it
still doesn't work, so i'm thinking maybe I have another setting
somewhere that turns this feature off?

I've done this type of thing in WordPerfect many times, and I admit
I approached it in Word with a lil cockyness, but even after printing
and following the help system's step-by-step guide it just won't work,
so i'm at a loss. My version is Word 2002 from a "MS Office XP Small
Business" CD. Can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong and how
to fix it? Or enable it? I'm just really frustrated that something that
is (or should be) soooo easy is giving me such a hard time. Thanks to
all in advance for your time and helpful response.

Joe

It seems to me it would be much easier to insert a table of contents (Insert
| Reference | Index and Tables) at the beginning of the document. This
provides automatic hyperlinks to the headings.
