Does anybody know if Microsoft will be putting out a patch
or service pack to enable Hyper Threading support for
Win2000 Pro on a dual processor motherboard?

Thanks,

No. It's what's known as an "upgrade incentive".

XP does hyperthreading... 2000 will work with hyperthreaded xeons, not the
p4's

Nonsense. Win2000 Pro sees both CPUs of a HT P4.
I'm writing on this machine right now.

The original poster has a dual-CPU system. Win2K will only
see 2 of the 4 logical processors, XP will see all 4.

incorrect...

2K pro will only see 2, Server will see 4, and adv server would see up to 8.

My appologies about 2k not doing HT on the P4 (non-xeon).

My response was correct. The orignal poster alredy said
he's using Win2K Pro.
