WinXP Home SP2; IE6.0

Somehow I have HyperTerminal
as my default Telnet program
in IE6.0.

How do I change the default
Telnet program back to using
the DOS screen in IE 6.0?

HyperTerminal has a Help page which documents this exact thing.

However, there is nothing preventing you from using telnet in a cmd
window if you wish, even though the association for telnet:// URL
might remain with HyperTerminal.
