To all our members in the US in the path of hurricane Sandy keep safe

Yes, that's a +1 from me. The storm looks pretty fierce, so must be very scary to be in its path. Good luck and hope everyone stays safe.

Aye a +1 from me too. I can not imagine what it must feel like to loose everything in a few short minutes.

Batten down the hatches over there. Looks like a fierce one.

We're waiting for it to get here. I'm right outside of Philadelphia, which projects to be right down the middle of its path here. It's been raining for about 12 hours now and should go for another 36 or so. We'll start seeing the actual hurricane late this afternoon/early this evening, so I'll probably leave work early. Should be a long couple of days!

Hi alow if you are able keep us informed we will want to know you are OK

Home now! Time to lock the doors and windows and wait it out

I have just been on the NY web cams, never seen it so empty even Times Square about 6 people . The one on the statute of liberty you cannot see a thing and one hell of a wind noise.

That wasn't too bad. Lost power for about 6-8 hours. I'll be working from home today. Sounds like I'm luckier than most. They're saying 7 million without power.

Nice to see that the worst's over now, alow.

And that you're OK too. Must have been quite scary for a while.
