After doing a repair install my computer now hangs on "Windows is starting
up" for almost two minutes, and then it hangs again for a long time just
before loading the wireless network connection. This never happened before
the reinstall. It now takes about 6 minutes to boot up, where as it took
less than 2 minutes before. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is
happening? Everything works fine once it's up and running.

Go to Device Manager and see if some drivers need to be reinstalled.
Since you say the hangup seems to be with your wireless, check the
drivers, settings, etc. Since we don't know the reason why you needed
to do a repair install, it's not possible to be more specific.
