Until 3 months ago I was able to access 2 specific
websites: www.newport-news.com & www.webshots.com. I am
no longer able to access them. When I try the browser
goes there and tries to load, but a blank "Microsoft
Internet Explorer" box also appears on the toolbar but
does not open and will not close unless forced. The
requested web pages immediately lock up and will not
load. Then I get the message that Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and must close. I have installed
and run AdAware & Spybot S & D, checked and reset all
security settings to no avail. I even added both websites
to my trusted sites and still nothing. Information in the
error report only states "hung app". Please help!

This is a nasty one. Get the removal tool.

I downloaded and ran the removal tool and it said my
system was clean. I downloaded and ran HiJack this! then
posted my log with a short synopsis of the problem to the
forum with no responses in two days. I'm at my wits end
here. I've read the tutorial and tried analyzing the log
myself. I still cannot access the two websites without IE
locking up and having to force it closed.
