Huh? How do I fix this?

All of a sudden I'm getting an error message saying I don't have permission
to save files in the Download folder in Vista Ultimate SP1, using IE 7, and
to contact the administrator for permission.

I'm the only one using the puter and it's never done this before today. What
went wrong and how do I fix it?

Thanks,
John

Just my own and two support. I reset my browser and it seems to have gone
back to normal. Thanks for your help. :-)

Well, sorta, it turns out. Still get the message on one file at Betaiobit SmartDefrag 11. All the others I can download normally.

How weird!

Hi,
Are you referring to the folder at C:\Users\account name\Downloads ?

Right-click the Downloads folder> Properties> Security. Do system and the
user (account name) have full control?

Don
[MS MVP- IE]

That worked. Thanks, Don. :-)
