Hello,
I'm Italian.

I've a big problem:

When I open a game or an application like google hearth that use directx
or(and) direct3d , it doesn't works.

Iread lots of solutions like reinstalling VGA driver, enabling direct3D in
dxdiag etc, but anyone works.

My pc doesn't find graphic card in the list of the peripherals and I can't
enable direct 3d acceleration, and I can't install new driver of my geforce
5200FX, because it says

Hi gidan44,

Hi gidan44,

Is it possible for you to undo that tension increase?
If so, please attempt that solution and post back with the results.

If it's not possible for you to undo that tension increase, and
since that problem just started happening recently, try a System Restore.

How to use Windows XP System Restore:

According to http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr this translates into the
following:

The installation program has not been in a position to characterizing
the driver compatible with the running hardware

That seems to me to be a case of graphics card not being recognized. The
'black out' must have effected the card and\or damaged it and that is
why the system does not recognize it any more. You are therefore running
on your on board video card which most likely has not enough capability
to run direct3d programs.
Any ideas Jimmy? Apart from replacing the Nvidia card?

Hi Thomas Kuck,

| Any ideas Jimmy? Apart from replacing the Nvidia card?

I already posted the complete Video / Drivers / DirectX solution
page for Gidan (http://mcse.mvps.org/Video.html) if the problem
cannot be resolved using those software solutions then the Video
card should be tested in another PC to determine if it's no longer
in working condition.

| Hi all,
|
| I'll try to buy a new card

I had a problem with not being able to enable direct3D for a game I
needed to play. It was on a Dell Demesion 2400 and I know that the
card was fine.

Here's the fix for can't enable direct3D in dxdiag.

TO FIX Direct3d direct x problem on Games.

1. Ensure that hardware acceleration is set to 'full'.
a. To do so:
b. Right click a blank spot on the desktop.
c. Choose properties
d. Click the 'settings' tab in the display properties.
e. Click the 'advanced' button
f. Click the 'troubleshoot' button
i. ENSURE that the slider is set to 'Full"

2. Direct3D must be enabled.
a. Go to the 'start' button
b. Choose 'run'
c. Type 'dxdiag' and hit enter.
d. Click the 3rd tab 'Display'
e. Ensure that 'Direct3D Acceleration is "enabled"

That's it, the fix that worked.
