hello, there are three intel inbusiness fast habs in one lan (with 16 PCs),
can anyone give a valid
diagram with the ports that I should use to connect then each other. The
network
does't heve any other networking equipment. Each hub have 8 ports and two
special
ports identified as 'link to hub' . Any help much appreciated.

The uplink ('link to hub') ports are for joining hubs together. One end of
the cable goes into the uplink port on one hub, and the other end into the
normal ports on the hub you want to join it to.

Connect your network as follows:

1. connect the 'link to hub' port of one hub, into an ordinary port of a
second hub.
2. connect 8 PC's to the ordinary ports of the first hub.
3. connect the remaining 8 PC's to the ordinary ports of the first hub.

I'm assuming that the two 'link to hub' ports are in addition to the 8
regular ports ? (ie. 8 ordinary, 2 link to hub) If this is the case, then
you don't need the third hub.

I hope this is clear enough for you..

Chris

You are very clear, but I have to use three hubs because there are PCs spare
in three rooms, so my problem is how to connect the three hubs each other, I
understand if there are tvo hubs I connect them through an uplink port, but
in this
situation there is one hub which is connected with two simultanusly.

Don't connect Link to Link... Use a normal port at one end, and plug it into
the Link port at the other. Repeat for the other hub.
