My wife's cousin was over and since he left I haven't been able to access any webpages that begin in https I don't know if there is a setting I need to change. I'm clueless. I'm using a dial up connection, ie 6.0, windows xp. Any help would be appreciated.

When you want to enter a secure site like your bank account does the box appear to tell you that you are entering a secure site, if so just click on it and https should open in another window and appear in the address bar along with a little lock down in the right hand side of the task bar. Hope this is of some help

You can set this by using the Menu.
Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab, in the Security section.

"Warn if changing from Secure to non secure mode.
