http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp not working

I am using Windows 98, IE 6.0, SP1 and everytime my
computer notifies me of a critical update I click on the
link
(http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp) and
I click scan for updates. Nothing happens, the page says
it is "Done" and no updates appear.

Anyone seen this before or know what to do?
