My ISP is MSN. I am running Outlook 2000 ver. 5.1.2600 SP2. While trying to
configure Outlook as my default email I was told by MSN that I need to
upgrade to Ver. 6 of Outlook so I have the HTTP selection as the email server
for MSN. MSN stated they only use HTTP now, not SMTP or POP3. Where do I
upgrade to the current version of Outlook? Does it cost to upgrade? I am
running IE 6 also.

thanks

Outlook upgrades are not free. You'd have to either upgrade Office
completely or Outlook seperately. It's usually best to upgrade the whole
thing since to use Word as your editor Outlook & it have to be the same
version

There is no Ver. 6 of Outlook. "Ver. 6" refers to Outlook Express. Outlook
2002 allows HTTP connections.

Since you have IE6, you also have OE6. OE6 will also allow HTTP
connections. You can access your MSN account with that.
