I am learning asp.net and I am using my only pc for this purpose. Somehow I
can't view my local default page by typing http://localhost. As I tried, it
asked me for the internet password (given by my Company to access the
internet). A few months ago, I enter the internet access pw as required and
I could see my localhost page, now I can't see it even with the password.
Please help.
thanks

Internet Explorer | Tools | Options | Connections | LAN Settings | Bypass
proxy server for local addresses.

Is this option ticked? If not, tick it or enter 127.0.0.1 as an exception
on the advanced tab..

Regards

Oli

Change your IIS settings to log in as anonymous with basic
Windows Authentification. That should do the trick.
