I'm trying to set up Outlook to check my hotmail account, but I'm having a problem. When I go to add an account the pull down menu is missing the HTTP choice. All that's in there is POP3 and IMAP. Everything I've read says that HTTP is supposed to be there... is that right? How do I fix this?

You normally should get this done if you would add hotmail
as a normal email account.

The hotmail free mail was treated than as if it was an
account your provider provided you. Do you know how to set
up an E- mail account?

Go in Outlook to Tool/Account/Add/Mail and follow the
instructions of the assistent. For the reason it was
hotmail it is being done easiy.

I was able to set it up using Outlook Express. It's not that I don't know how to do it.. the problem is that when I'm following the on screen instructions the option for an HTTP account is not there and it's supposed to be. Isn't it? Or is that option only available in Express

Ultimately what I'd like to do is syncronize Outlook with my PDA so I can have hotmail show up in the inbox on my PocketPC. That way, when I connect to the internet thru the PDA I can check my hotmail account through the Inbox program instead of going to the hotmail website. Is this possible? Or is it wishful thinking?

Which version of outlook? It should be present in Ol2002 and OL2003. It was
not in earlier versions.
