Good Afternoon,

I've spent the last three hours trying to fiugre out how to solve this
problem, and have thus far been unsuccessful.

I use Frontpage 2000. Windows XP (Home).

For quite some time now FrontPage would not save any new files on my web
server (I usually do all of my editting online). If I create a new page,
and then try to save it, it will not save. The only way I could find to work
around the issue is go through the Navigation feature and create a new page
through here, then Frontpage makes the file and I can open it and it is
already on the server.
when I tried saving a new file, it said that an "unexpected error" occured,
and it would not show the contents of my server.

What I've learned is that it seems to be a problem with the network places.
I've tried erasing the domain's network place, and to redo it as a new one,
and it will not allow me to add the network place, saying that it is an
invalud address, and that I should add it has c:\directory\file name instead
of as an http:\\ ... Ftps do work, but HTTPs do not.

How can I fix this?

I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you! :)

With FP closed, Search for and delete the hidden .web files, delete the FP
Temp directory located in the Windows Temp folder. Locate your NetHood
folder and delete the domain folder for the site.

Then access the live site using File Menu | Open Web then type in the domain
name, login, click ok, then click Open.

Thank you for writing back with ideas. I've tried these ideas before, but I
went through and tried again.

After deleteing all the files you recommended, I then went to front page and
went to open web. I typed in the address, and then received this error
message: "The folder 'http://www.deafe.org' isn't accessble. The folder may
be located on an unavailable volume or protected wtih a password."

Interesting thing I just noticed, is that if I go to "Open File" and type it
in, it does open the main page, but it doesn't open the web. Hmmm. Anymore
ideas?

Thanks.

Curt
