That is the error page I'm getting 80% of the times I sign in my Netscape
webmail.
I'm using XP (SP2) and IE6 with all updates and AV (it's a clean new PC):
which settings should I check?
Thanks.
Steffo

Hi Steffo :-)

Are you using AOL or a dialup connection?

Hi Jan, I have a DSL connection, the ISP is Bluewin, in Switzerland.
I've had it for 6 years now and my troubles started about a month ago.

First, make sure you are typing in or entering the correct link/path
information. Next, take a look here:

Error Message: HTTP/1.1 Error 400 - Bad Request
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q247249

also...

Try turning off Friendly HTTP error messages:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced. Uncheck show friendly HTTP error
messages.
Once you have done this you should get a more detailed message which will
point you to the real problem.

and....

Make sure that your browser is configured properly. Check to make sure of
the following:

Tools>Internet Options>Connection>click the LAN Settings button>Under Proxy
Server>make sure the box there is unchecked.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that, Jan.
My LAN seetings are OK: I've never used a proxy and that box was already
unchecked.
I unchecked the "show friendly HTTP error messages" box: now I'm getting a
blank page after pressing the OK button in the sign in page.
User name and password are correct (and saved): I've got into my inbox twice
out of ten tries.
No error at all, only a blank page and the URL is
http://ncmail.netscape.com/_cqr/vllogin.adp
If I bypass that page with http://ncmail.netscape.com/msglist.adp I can
get into my inbox most of the times,
but if I go back to the home page, click on "Mail", I get the blank page.
Really weird, innit?
Now my guess is that the "Mail" link is not correct: do you agree or is
there any other setting I can adjust?
Thanks again,
Steffo
