Can you please explain to me the difference between HTTP 1.1 & HTTP 1.1
through proxy connections?

If you are asking why would you change the defaults in the Options Advanced tab
FWIW I would change them to both use the newer standard in order to take advantage
of the newer cache controls. I think that the main reason for the defaults is to try to
provide compatibility and because some proxies may be unlikely to have complete
implementations of the new standard, so using an older, simpler one would be safer.

I think that the newer protocol is also required (or at least preferred) for some other
higher level protocols that use it as a transport layer (such as SOAP), or extend it
(such as WebDAV), etc.
