Can someone point me to documentation on IE Advanced
settings "HTTP 1.1 Settings". I am experiencing a problem
receiving the "HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE" server variable if
the "Use HTTP 1.1" and "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy
settings" checkboxes are not checked... and I want to
understand why. Is the header not being sent if these
checkboxes are not checked?

Thanks for any help,
Rob

Windows version? How are you connecting? Are you on a network? Is a
router involved? Is the problem when attempting to reach Hotmail pages?

Thanks for the response...

Unfortunately I'll have to gather specifics to the
questions you posed.

We have some web-based software hosted in here in the
states (in Texas) and some new clients in the UK (England
and Scotland). The clients need to be able to enter dates
in local formats (DD-MM-YYYY). However, our software is
being used by many clients in the states wanting to enter
dates in MM-DD-YYYY format.

We thought the best method to handle this on the fly was
to use the HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE server variable to set the
session.lcid...

I do know that the PC's are connected to a LAN. There is
significant firewall rules, etc., the traffic is going
across the water and through a firewall and router on this
end... So I guess this has the potential to become a
significant issue to track down.

However, I was hoping to start by simply finding out what
information is made available or eliminated from the http
header if the "Use HTTP 1.1" and "Use HTTP 1.1 through
proxy settings" checkboxes are toggled.

Thanks,
Rob

I forgot the "Windows version" issue...

We are dealing with Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows
XP. Minimum browser IE 5.5.

Thanks,
Rob
