Hi John

If you want to work in Word, prepare your invoice, then File > Save As.
Choose to save as a Web page or as a Web page (Filtered).

First, remember that Word can save much more complex formatting and layout
than the HTML allows.

If you choose to save as a web page, Word will save lots of extra HTML so
the HTML file can be round-tripped back to Word, and retain all Word's
detailed formatting. If you choose to save as Filtered, Word will only save
enough HTML to save the page in HTML. If you then open the HTML file in
Word, you may lose some formatting.

If necessary, you can edit the resulting HTML by hand in Notepad or another
plain-text editor. Or, you can do it in Word. To do that, do Tools > Options
General. Tick the box "Confirm conversions at Open". Now, when you open an
HTML file you will get the option of opening as plain text (to edit the raw
HTML).

Hope this helps.
