html white space/blank lines

I work with FP2002. When I am in HTML view, I've noticed large areas of
white space/blank lines added often. My index page has jumped from under 200
lines of real code to well over 2 million because of this huge amount of
white space. I've tried manually removing them, which takes incredibly long,
only to come back again finding way more than I started with!

Help????

In code view, right click and then select "Reformat html" and see what
happens.

Steve,
In my research to fix this, I've read about reformat. Most of the
references were to the 2003 version, which are not available in the 2002
version I use. However, there always seemed to be concerns with changes
and/or loss of info. via the reformat. I will try your advice (saving to a
new file) and get back to this thread.

Steve,

I did try the "reformat HTML", and it worked with no problem. So easy,
thanks!
